Join the Cause - Wolf Habitat for Genesis Wildlife Sanctuary

Sep 14 2009
Genesis has two new full-time resident wolves. Both are female and are related. The mother, Isis, is three years old. Her daughter Sabriel is one year old. A private collector illegally had these wolves in captivity and was later arrested. The wolves were eventually transferred to Genesis in the Spring of 2009. Both wolves arrived in poor condition. Mal-nourished and neglected we were happy to step in and help. Currently, these wolves reside in an indoor enclosure at the center. We have acquired some land and hope to build them a large outdoor habitat and could use your help. This habitat will be viewable by the public and provide the wolves with plenty of room to roam. What we lack are the funds to install the perimeter fencing around the habitat. If you can help please make a donation either online, by mail, or join our cause on facebook. Every little bit helps and we at Genesis are confident we can build something special for these wolves.

Update, as on Nov 22 2009 the wolves are in a larger fenced in area. This area allows them more room to roam and gives them a good view of the stars and moon. Howls of joy fill the valley and we hope to build them an even larger permanent enclosure this Summer.
